That is for the standard or long range battery version and it just says estimated delivery.  This is the solid state verge thread.   I kind of think you are a bit sarcastic here.

I feel like their play here is to get orders for Donut batteries by using the Verge motorbike to make it appear that they’re already in mass production of solid-state cells, years ahead of other solid-state battery makers, generating buzz in the hopes of getting industrial contracts. My speculative guess is that Donut is going to be ready for mass production c2030 just like every other SS battery maker, but they can produce 30 kwh packs right now for high cost at small scale, so they’re going to put batteries that cost maybe $100k into a bike that sells for $40k, fulfill just enough Verge orders in 2026-27 for people to believe it’s really in regular production, then delay everyone else’s Verge orders until they can actually sell these things at a profit. Basically subsidizing the cost of the bike as a stealth marketing campaign to get large contracts, which is where the real money is. I could be wrong, that’s just how I read the tea leaves.

i see where you are coming from but, in this tech, even 4 years is a lifetime away, so much can change by then, that this tech, will be obsolete by then. pushing it off a year or so umm yah.  4?  that's a bit much.

To you or me, yes, but Lightning and Damon have shown that you can keep some people on the hook for years as long as you keep drip-feeding tantalizing updates. Also, they’re probably going to promise initial delivery dates sometime in late 2026 or 2027, so they’d only have to string people along for 2-3 years if SS tech will actually be deliverable at scale starting in 2029 or 2030.

I’ll know I was right if most people’s orders get delayed past 2027, or if people get their bike delivered with a standard li-ion pack under the promise it will be upgraded to solid-state with some cacamimi story about why the solid-state pack couldn’t be supplied yet even though the tech is for sure, definitely in full production. If they deliver more than a token number of orders this year or next, I’ll be happy to say I was wrong. Surprised, but happy.

it seems to me that if you have developed a new world-changing battery design, you are going to sell it to one of the big battery manufacturers or auto companies and not feature it in a small startup motorcycle manufacturer.

I threw $100 in on a Verge ages ago, as much as anything to see what they would really offer. I got this today. I will keep you posted on what else I get.

Personally I don't need it to be torn down.  What interests me is, whether the quick charge capability is uphelt at second or third charge in a day or if the pack is heated up so much that you end up with 8 kW charge power only.
That would be a game changer, if you can charge the bike 10-80 % in 10 minutes  again and again.

I dunno, that's a bit of a "magic never ending kebab"* isn't it ... by the time you've discharged the battery on a ride, charged it up again, discharged it fully again... you're likely to have spent 6 hours in the saddle with just the 10 minutes break in the middle. Realistically you don't at all need that second fast charge, you'll be knackered. Obviously it'd be nice but you'd easily live without the capability.

ACTUALLY

I'm gonna disagree with that. I don't really mind the range and charging on my Eva Ribelle, as compromises they're fine because my body needs a break. It's *where* the chargers are that makes them annoying. I don't actually want to spend half an hour sitting around at a maccies down the back of an out of town business park and once I've done that or if I know I'm gonna have to then I'm not gonna make the long stop elsewhere that I actually do want to do.

Consistently short charges mean that I get to spend more time where I want to be and less time where I don't and that counts triple when I'm riding with friends.
