Smithy i find the same thing. If you are in the cities, they are plentiful, gas stations have them, supermarkets have them, car dealers have them. That's another thing to keep in mind, most all dealers now sell electric cars, so have a CCS1 there for their fleet etc. In a jam, you might need to listen to a sales pitch but might be chargeable there

once you get into the boonies though, they are far and few between, some 30 to 40 miles apart. I always bring my charge cord and pigtail pack with me, for extreme emergency so i can literally plug in anywhere there is electricity, i even made a stinger so i can jack into a flourescent light socket to ground if needed ,to 'borrow' a light if needed. Colleges and such have J plugs, which will give you 3kw ish per hour which is ehh 25 miles ish. A good emergency top off to get to the next station if needed.
im finding that some of the charge companies, still won't work with energica, with any mod anything using GE is shit, but i already knew that working with their shit for 40 years. even the co branded won't work, so the pilot stations are out.
Every month new stations open up. I like the plug share app however often find it's not updated often, and many times stations open up and are not put in. or die and are not taken out!! i have all the 'company' apps too, to turn on chargers, and to also find their stuff, so i can then add the new ones to plugshare, which i like best as an overall view of charging opportunities.
Dryer, the regen issue, id think that would keep it off all the time, not just for higher speeds. one thing of note, there are things you can do that throw faults, you may not see the fault, it's more an engineering / technical thing, but it's there. lighting up the triangle until you cycle power to clear it. A good hard bump or pothole in a heavy regen situation, the sudden loss of load, then slamming back on, emer setting abs as it sees that as a traction problem, or aTC problem , stuff starts going wild, and that can trigger it to shut down regen or even the whole bike
ive had this on my ribelle too, hit a pothole or a really bumpy wash board like patch of road at 140 mph and you are hammering,it can shut you down if you are pumping power. i think what happens is the crazy, in it's eyes out of control power / tourque vector swings, it says ok this is out of control, something is wrong, turn it off for now. In a way while aggravating, do you really want to be slamming pot holes at those speeds, or wash board? you start a tank slapper and you gonna have a bad day. At those speeds the bike is very light in the front end to begin with, don't push that, it's doing what it is designed to, to keep you alive. Remember, you are only supposed to be riding like that on closed circuits, where the pavement is smooth. it wasn't designed to handle rougher roads. so no fault of the bike in total honesty.
i had the experia pegged, running for a while. seen my triangle blip, but it was lit up anyways for another reason, so might have set it off then, didn't think of it until i went to slow down and then, oh wow, lost regen, hmm whats up. everything works fine now but just found it odd that it only stopped working at higher speeds.
the disable above 95 is normal, ie there is nowhere to put the power it's making if battery is full, don't want to over volt and damage it so turn the regen off until you empty a little rooom to put it. 99 to 95 Experia won't totally disable it but will neuter it a bit until you get around 95, its there just much gentler. most people won't notice because they are not running regen full max on.
yah, and stopping on the ride, riding an hour or so is tiring, and your brain starts to wander, tire, fagigue, its the same on the race track, later in the day, sometimes after only 3 laps, im finding myself making chain mistakes, (one right after another in a row), then say, that's it, im done, mind is not with the ride, time to rest. the brain needs to rest, along with the rest of the body, hunched up gets sore, constantly grabbing the throttle sore, legs sore... you need to stretch, and if you drank coffee to stay alert, you need to pee too.
grauteufel, i was trying to be courteous this ride, it was the first time really putting miles in a row where i'd HAVE to charge, but yah, you are spot on, they piss around at every stop, then 30 minutes later, biker 4 can't start, so after them all like monkeys fucking a football in the zoo poke at his bike, figure out. ooh yer out of gas tee hee. so there's another 10 wasted, but it's the electric bike that's the 'problem here'

a certain demographic of riders of certain demographic of bikes, are pretty simple creatures. Their bike is the biggest, fastest, tallest, quickest, blabl and yours sucks. math is a head scratcher, thinking hurts, so you smile at them, bless their hearts and move on.
i don't blame you for not wanting to go on group rides, however must humbly add, you are missing out on a lot of fun. sometimes you just need to find the right group to ride with. it can be difficult but, get a few like minded friends, you don't need 30 pepople to ride. 3 or 4 can be just as much fun.
The one thing that pisses me off the most is irresponsible ride captains, if you can't watch out for your group, then you don't need to be leading the pack, put your fucking ego in park. if people drop out or fall back, and you don't even know they did, or know why, then come up with a comment like,oh he'll figure out where we are tee hee, you are a piece of shit. What if that man is on the side of the road and needs help urgently, but you are too busy posting selfies, Heyyy!!! look at ME and MY ride and MY group in MY club etc etc. Yah, you have to pick rides carefully and always make sure you got a partner and are looking out for each other.
it's going to take a while for electrics to catch on, and there is work to be done, like charging, for example. it'd just go a lot easier if people could honestly approach the table and say here are the pros, here are the cons, now lets work on this, instead of always, it's awesome, it's shit, no in between ever, and always, it's my or the highway.
