I used to have them and back in the day they were good but turned to crap over the years. Their agents, most of them are ignorant, at least mine was, couldn't answer a thing, you'd be stuck with the corporate weenies who are actually worse in many cases. I could never get a straight answer on them. I had to file a claim when someone hit me, was totally that persons fault I was sitting still at a stoplight, both had state farm insurance, I was not filing any medical claims or trying to pull any stupid shit, just fix my bumper and reset the damned pre loads on the airbag... all kinds of ignorant games with them, your policy is inadequate. ok fist off you MC cock $#^#$ MFers, it's HIS policy that will pay it, HE hit ME, secondly I have full coverage and it's YOU on both ends, now lets try this again. Just grimy. Have heard many other people with problems with them. Geico is just as awful.
State farm did not cover my solar system, which was the final straw that made me drop them totally for everything, they couldn't even answer basic questions, yet tried desperately tried to sell me an expensive policy that covered... just theft. JUST THEFT

The whole thing about electric cars being so dangerous is overblown bullshit the lamestream is pushing and we need to push back !!!
If you leave ANY battery under SALT WATER for hours then ignore it for a week, of course it's going to eventually short out. The car is totalled anyways even ICE once water gets inside it and stands. just too much wiring and stuff that gets messed up. sensors on the engine, the tranny get cooked... the interior will never be clean again... your car is totaled PERIOD.
Drop a wrench across a lead acid battery and tell me that is not a fire hazard? Gas cars ignite and burn to the ground every single day yet you don't see the sheeple bleating about that now do you?
Don't let the insurance companies rope you on E vehicles, push back and EDUCATE them!! This is the biggest problem we need to overcome is getting the adults to the table to have an honest discussion without the lies and BS. Be real, both good AND bad, so in the end we can get fair... at least as close as you can get to fair when it comes to insurance.
sorry for the rant but this something we need to stand solid and together on otherwise we all get thrown under the bus.
You should ask your agent about your car, your electric bike, your anything electric, make them tell you specifically what they will cover, what the limits are and ALL of that. State farm is NOT keen on electric stuff, the agent might not know this or just want's your money so won't tell you the bad stuff. Make him tell you what you will get back in a total loss situation. If he can't, then find new insurance because that's telling you you will NOT be covered like you think. If asking about an electric casualty makes them cancel you, it's better you find out NOW, so you can get real insurance instead of getting in a wreck and finding out you are not covered.
I would also ask, lets say i get in a wreck and the vehicle is destroyed, how do YOU go about replacing it? HOW do you figure it's value for the new one. Make him SAY it, because if they later balk, or deny, you have a good standing to sue, because you were under the impression you were covered. If they try to play it was a mistake tell them you are going to the 5 o clock news. Often they'll make an 'adjustment' rather than face the bad publicity. I hope you never get in a situation like this but after dealing with insurance a few times, I have found the hard way, you have to keep yourself in a SOLID situation to push back on them, because they will try to get cute with you very often.
Unfortunately, this clip is pretty accurate when it comes to getting money FROM them when you need it.
