Centerstand is part of the base unit. Keyless is $397. This is all on the site.

Where?  I don't see such info mentioned here.

Anyway, I am more concerned about the keyless thingy and if I need to tell them at A&S Cycles that I want to order such. Or will I be asked later?  I never saw anywhere where Energica mentioned the keyless thingy so I would like to know where you found the price for it--or better yet, how I can be sure it's ordered for my Experia.

While I wasn't sure about the technology on a motorcycle, I will admit that the keyless system used on my BMW R1200RS sure works well and in the 7 years that I have owned the motorcycle, I have only needed to replace the key fob battery once. And even then, the bike gave me a warning 90 days before the battery died.

I will also add that (knock on wood) the tire pressure checking and warning system is also still working. So far the internal (very expensive and not replaceable) device's battery is hanging in there. That is another technology that has impressed me with its reliability, in spite of me being the one that changes the tires and has not yet damaged the wheels' internal tire pressure sensors.

In that photo, I can clearly see the centerstand. I have not seen that photo anywhere before. Where did you find it?

I see it on the 2nd photo. It would have been much clearer if they would put the bike on the centrstand.


But where did you find that info. about the keyless thingy?

If you mean where go to order, it wasn't there when I ordered the Experia on the very first day possible.

Don - you used the 'pre-order form' not the configurator when you did yours. Your dealership should reach out to ask what configurable items you want.. and since on this version it's only keyless that's an option you could probably just reach out and confirm with them.

I have a suspicion that the dealerships haven't been able to do much with the information except report they have pre-orders. It's still early for Energica I think. I could be totally wrong though.

Visited the dealer last tuesday (Bikexperience in Amsterdam, the Netherlands) and he had a demo in the showroom. The bike is really nice and well built, and if I was given the choice right now I'd choose the Experia over the Ribelle, but I'm not switching now and burning a lot of money in the process. The Experia looks like a fine built bike, and I'm sure the soon-to-be owners will have a blast on it I think.

  "From what I was told by an Energica rep, the highway mileage is 130 miles at a steady 70 mph."  Real numbers instead of that meaningless "extra urban" BS!

Sounds like it will make it between my houses (99.0 miles up and then downhill) with only home charging. 

One of my first rides on it otherwise will be from Reno to Bridgeport, CA  . 117 miles with places to charge on the way, in case I still get range anxiety. A new DC fast CCS charger is coming just south of Lake Topaz in the mickey-mouse town of Coleville (population is around 500), CA. I wonder if that will be completed before or after I get my new bike. Even if not, I can charge up in Minden, NV, 70 miles north of Bridgeport. The new CCS chargers there in Bridgeport have been reliable. I wonder if I will have enough time to enjoy the fish Taco at the Barn (best fish taco anywhere, IMO, and you only want one, they are large) before the bike is done charging.  BTW, the chargers there are at the Shell Gas Station, and they are NOT "Shell Recharge". These chargers were put in just before they bought out Greenlots and changed the name to "Shell Recharge".  These chargers are "Electrify America" the same type as Wal*Marts. My least favorite because they don't use a card. They have to be activated by a Smartphone and I find that to be a hassle as I never keep mine on.

However, I am getting used to it, I had to recharge here twice yesterday. Click on the photo and you will see my Energica.
