Apparently they're doing this in LA tomorrow.  Renting a place to have an indoor track to test ride their bikes.  No license needed on a closed track!

They did this last year at the NYC IMS.  The room(s) rented for the show had sufficient floor space to set up a course.  Since the bikes don't emit any exhaust fumes, running it indoors was not a problem.  Pretty cool!

I do wonder though if the floor space has enough straight track to get to reasonable highway speeds and brake  afterwards -- I don't see the point of taking a test ride on a road bike without actually trying how it feels at 80mph.

So you want them to let people with no motorcycle endorsement to ride at 80MPH indoors? LOL
Obviously they will be modified so only riding at a low/safe speed will be possible.

I completely fail  to see the point of such test rides.
This isn't a 30mph max speed, 25 top cruising speed  commuting-only scooter, which would be pretty close to an e-bicycle in handling.

These are full motorcycles. There's no point in buying one for scooter duty; they're much too expensive & powerful for that. Ergo no point in test-riding them in "safe" speeds (there isn't such a thing anyway -- a simple lowside at 30mph can easily leave a person crippled for life if the bike lands on top of him/her) by people with no riding experience.

Graduated drivers' licensing is even more important on e-motorcycles than it is on ICE ones

In the NYC IMS, it was a modified MSF BRC range, with certified RiderCoaches assisting the riders through some basic exercises.  Highway speed was NEVER an option.  Remember, this was for people who'd NEVER ridden a motorcycle before.  Most of them had problems getting above walking speed.

The point is to get people who aren't motorcycle people to ride motorcycles!

Zeros are super-well-behaved with the right settings, and easy to keep upright and learn on.  And that's well worth pointing out, I think.

I wouldn't be riding a motorcycle on my own without a Zero.
