Glad to see it has CCS charging. But physical size is a lot closer to Zero instead of Energica. Dual Brembos up front, nice touch. Belt drive as expected from H-D. And I suspect performance will be a lot closer to Zero than Energica. But it could come with a price a lot closer to Energica than Zero. Time will tell though.

I think it looks nice. But what will H-D charge for this new model? I bet it won't be cheap.  And will dealers put it on display in a glass box at the front of their store and then direct their customers to the "big twin" models and their range of Screaming Eagle parts and lifestyle clothing?  ::)

That may be so or not we'll know when they hit the stores but there's a rumour in the HD community that HD may be prepared to take a small loss in the first year or two of Livewire sales just to get them out there.Time will tell but I hope the whispers from HD corporate are true.

H-D is definitely marketing the Live Wire to the younger crowd who has less disposable income. If it isn't priced accordingly it will be dead on arrival. But if the dealers don't promote it it may not matter.

I am neither young nor wealthy but come hell  or  high water I will own one!
My local dealer and I have already struck a deal on the first demo Livewire he has in shop when they are released to our market(AU).

Oddly, another photo showed cooling fins on the side of the battery case, while this does not. There may be some revisions yet.

Every time I hear H-D mention that it will be a "premium product", my wallet starts quivering.  ::)

Well, that's a DC Combo inlet there, so it better have high speed charging.

I'm so excited to see this. If it has decent range, there will be two I'm my garage next summer. Look at all that cooling! They thought ahead.

According to this article, "it’s been officially confirmed by the American manufacturer, is that the LiveWire is fitted with a manual gearbox"  https://imotorbike.my/news/2018/09/this-is-the-2019-harley-davidson-livewire.

That's too bad...

A manual gearbox may not be the same as a transmission. There is no clutch lever on the left side in the photos and videos of the Live Wire. I think the purpose of a manual gearbox on the Live Wire may be for the same reason the Energica has a gearbox, to simply move power from the motor to a different point in the drive train. The Energica's motor is far too large to mount like the Zero does so a gearbox is used to allow the motor to be elevated and have the primary drive sprocket to be at a lower point.
