I recently purchased an EVA and I'm trying to learn about the engine oiling, gear reduction and inverter cooling system. I have been able to find very little information, but became even more curious when I noticed that the owners manual specifies changing the "motor oil" every 6K miles. If it's just for cooling, why would do you need to replace it at all? Is there a pressurized lubrication of bearings?
I also wondered why there is coolant and oil changes at all revisions.
Since the oil is not as laminated as it is in a std ICE and std Gearbox, it should last much longer.
But I would assume that, since they don't have many long term data for the moment, they don't want to take any risk just to save barely 40$ on each revision.
I personally prefer to pay 40$ each year and avoid any big issue.
