Newby seeking advice

Hi, I'm looking to build an electric motorcycle soon, as a complete novice I'm after some advice. I'm looking at a Lynch motor lem 48v nominal dc motor, lem 200. Is this a good choice? What sort of power and speeds could I expect to get from it? And what lithium ion battery set up would be best. I am willing to spend a few £ on this project as I want good range and speed. In terms of

"a few GBP" may be slightly underestimated if you want a good battery, good motor and good controller.  ;D
