While I do ride my Zero during the winter months, I do keep an older bike around for when things get a bit hairy.

How hairy.
Well this was'nt far off my commute yesterday.


And this was part of it... just one of the six floods I either had to avoid or ride through, the one below was not the worst I rode through.



I opted to put my beat up old Diversion through this hell, rather than my still shiny new SR...


Hopefully the roads will be clearer today.
Sorry guys, I'm sure our bikes can wade through this sort of thing, but I'm not going to be the one to test it...

I agree. I wouldn't want to ride through something like that on anything with electrical parts - especially if they were manufactured by Joe Lucas.

I have to admit that apart from checking tyre pressures regularly, I don't bother with washing, cleaning etc. The hosepipe is now permanently out of the shed and plugged in so I can give the bike a quick hose down after an off road adventure, when it really needs it! That's it. Call me lazy...

Has anyone submerged their Zero at all and how far? I'm guessing just under those the orange wires is as far as you'd want to go. I doubt the charger would like being underwater though.

Thankfully it hasn't been so wet around here.

Ive been up almost past the motor on a fx during river crossings; wouldnt exactly reccomend it, as most will get the isolatuon fault and it may render them disabled until the bike dries out.
