Another low-power big wheel e-scooter might hit the market one of these days.  This one will be made in America.  Planned output is  9,000 scooters a year. But, with a top speed of only 30 mph, will it sell?    At least the proposed retail price is right and not that much more than a 50cc scooter of about the same performance.

Ann Arbor is already the home of Current Motor, a company that already makes a highway-capable electric scooter with 40-50 miles of range.  Funny that Mahindra is opening up in their back yard.

I think targeting the low-end may work well, provided a distribution and servicing network is in place.

I have a coworker who rides a Yamaha Vino, 50cc scooter that sells for $2300. It has difficulty starting in cooler temperatures, and generally does not have a very refined powertrain. I think she represents the target market segment for the GenZe, and I think she'd give it some consideration.
