Well, I have been riding my 3 month old zero xu to work and back for a good part of the end of season now (45kms each way mixed) and it impressively does it without issue,however I now want something with a little more snap to it that'll carry my light little 225lb carcass a little quicker. I average 95km/hr on the highway (27kms highway,16kms roads). The bike is fantastic and has no issues whatsoever but I am now hooked on the ebike thing so time to upgrade to an fx. Still has full 2 year warranty (minus 3 months) transferrable. Bike has 750 kms on it now and will have about 800 by the end of the week (if it doesn't snow).Sticker price was $7695 asking $3500 obo. Located in Bradford Ontario Canada.Bike is now listed on ebay....750 kms on the clock now. If I still have the bike in the spring then the price will be firm. I keep the bike plugged in indefinitely to keep the battery full all the time....no chance of a damaged battery on this one. So warranty, yes it's 2 years less 3 months now but that still gives you 2 full riding seasons (july 29) worth of warranty.

hmmmm...yeah,that is a bit of a hike...gonna need a really long extension cord!! I can ship if you wanna set it all up,Ican crate if needed but I've never sold a bike across the border before so I don't know what's involved.

Wouldn't say that. It's too far and the bike is still too dear considering that anyone in the USA will have to pay shipping charges.

If you were in the US we would have made a deal long ago.

I can't get any definitive answer from US Customs on importing it. I've imported about 50 ICE bikes but all >25 years old and exempt from DoT and EPA.

Hi. Thanks for that. I myself don't have a clue what's involved with exporting the bike to the us and I will wish I was in a southern state in a couple more months.....gonna get chilly here. Thanks for the kind words

I'm still working this.

The whole RI program stinks. I can just about guarantee that you won't be able to find one with any relevant experience that would help here but I can also just about guarantee that you will be able to find dozens who will gladly take (a lot of) your money to "help".

I've brought about 50 motorcycles into the US from Australia, Canada and England and only once did I use an RI (long story) and it was a disaster. Those bikes were all >25 years old and so exempt from DoT and EPA requirements.

Nobody should be paying an RI one red cent to import any vehicle >25 years old.

This is a 2012 not a 1987. I would have to think it would be easy since the origin of manufacture is usa. I know a lot of people who have imported to Canada with ease,just not the other way around.

Would you do me a favor (favour?) and take a pic each of the two certification placards on the neck? The DoT should be on the right and the EPA on the left.

I'm still getting stalled by customs and that ticks me off and motivates me to keep trying.
