Here is something a little different.  Peugeot has developed a hybrid scooter that is powered by a 400cc IC engine and an electric motor that together provide 60 hp and 43 lb-ft of torque.  Peugeot claims that the Onyx will travel 30 miles at 31 mph on just the electric motor and up to 310 miles when using the IC engine.  This thing looks trick, but expensive.  See it here:  http://www.autoblog.com/2012/09/22/peugeot-onyx-will-be-joined-by-matching-scooter-in-paris/
