Electric Yamaha
« on: June 11, 2012, 08:27:30 PM »

Yamaha has apparently designed and is marketing an electric scooter, which Visor Down doesn't think much of.  It sure would be nice if one of the major Japanese manufacturers would develop, manufacture and offer for sale to the general public a real electric motorcycle similar to the Brammo Empulse. I know that Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha have the knowledge, technology and resources to do it, but apparently they just don't have the balls to tackle the market until someone else proves it is large enough to be profitable.

Nice how the article refers to LeMans. With that I rather expect an interesting Audi/Ducati hybrid or hopefully EV to come out. if a company pulls that off !!
this year first and second place 24hr LeMans endurance race went to Audi etron ! OK, not so etron, just some sort of "hybrid" so not the real, real deal we are riding. at least a start and Audi the leader by many laps in that race !

add-on edit:
as Zero turns up as "support vehicle" at other races this could have been one .... give Audi a couple of Zeros as run about and beat the heck out of the "Yamahas".
next we beat the R1s...
