Hi all

find some items of this "bike" interesting. Especially a flywheel to store energy for faster takeoffs and be charged by breaking . In concept seems like the KERS system from Formula 1 racing ...

Just why they bother to add a gyroscope to make it "not tip over" rather want to know what the KERS could do on a usual electric bike.

so what do you think about it ? anything useful out of this for EV bike developments ? How big and heavy would a KERS end up being ?

Well that is nothing new. I have a 10-year old remote controlled 1/6th scale motorcycle that uses a flywheel to keep it upright and to control its direction.  I think the real problem is the weight and complexity of the system at a time when manufacturers are just trying to get electric vehicles to work well enough to satisfy potential customers while keeping the price down so that they will sell when compared against IC vehicles.

It has the potential to open up a new customer base to the idea of being on two wheels. If my wife new she couldn't fall over and didn't have to shift, I think she would give it a try. It's an idea worth exploring and being open minded about
