Chip Yates Interview With RT Moto
« on: January 13, 2011, 01:46:46 AM »

Chip finally reveals his battery choice... He is using "Nasa space batteries" :D

The bike doesn't like to change line in the corners because of the weight. Like riding a fast 1000 with a passenger.

Next is Miller Motorsports park and some "Record setting stuff"

Yesterday, while waiting for another recall to be fixed on one of my BMW motorcycles, I picked up the February issue of Friction Zone. The magazine has a full cover photo showing Chip and his Swigs Electric Superbike and inside is a full two-page article (of text) about Chip and how he designed and built his racer. Friction Zone is available for free at most motorcycle shops and other motorcycle hang-outs in the Western US.  Check it out.

It is nice that the IC motorcycle press continues to feature electric motorcycles in their publications - especially as they are not getting any advertising money from the manufacturers of these vehicles.
