Excellent build using the EnerTrac 603 motor/wheel

I had a customer send me these pictures.
He did a really nice job and is happy with the build.




He's using 72 volts @ 35AH of sealed lead acid for a top speed of about 40 MPH. Certainly not a race bike with lead batteries. But a fun ride, and that's what Edward was looking for.

Man, that is cool. Would love to see a street legal dirtbike build. Maybe a DRZ400s?

Is the Engine in the Rearwheel? Looks like a Pedelec (electric Bicycle)

very nice setup, been following it for some time. I imagine an after-market rear brake+thin plate mount is usually required? as opposed to a axle mounted brake.

Has anyone fitted to both front and rear wheel to make a 2WD?  That would be unstoppable....  Peak of 60 kW!

No worries, Mark also made a dual motor version of the hub!.. the DU602 and also the DU603 8)

That's 20kW cont and 60 peak!

It leave you alot of room to put battery in the frame!

My friend J-L bought one and is making a conversion of a GSX-R1100 with headway cells and 600A 144V Kelly controller and that powerfull motor!

    I really like the in the wheel idea but I think I need more power. Anyone care to speculate what kind of top end that GSXR would get with 60kw peak? I'm new to electric, but after riding for 34 years it dawned on me I should be using my extra solar power to ride. Also let's say we load it up with as much lithium as she'll carry happily what kind of range might we expect at say 65 mph?
      My last bike had 135hp, the one I'm riding now has 120hp. I'm told electric feels a lot more powerfull than the numbers would lead me to believe, so my question is how many electric hp will get me my 11 second 1/4 mile in say an 800 to 1000 pound package to get some range? Any insight would be appreceated?
