A friend sent me this link to an electric motorcycle web site:  http://www.panthermotorcycle.com/Panther_%28Electric%29/Home.html

I am no expert, but this site looks fishy to me.  I know one thing though, from a styling perspective, I wouldn't be caught dead on this "Panther".

I might add that the original British Panther motorcycle was quite interesting. It was a very long-stroke 600cc single-cylinder motorcycle, with a cylinder that was slanted almost 45 degrees forward. It was designed primarily for hauling around a sidecar. It was built from the 1920's until the late 1960's as I recall - without much change in the design of the motorcycle during that time.  It did not look anything like the "Panther" on this website.

I just checked my 24-volume motorcycle encyclopedia and discovered that the firm that made the Panther, P&M, had roots that went back to 1900. The big-single, slant-cylinder design came out around 1912. They made a whole range of machines, including 250's, 500's, a scooter in the 1960's and the 600cc Panther Model 100, that came out during the 1940's and is the bike that I recall from my early days. They even made some two-stroke twins and singles. The firm died in 1967, but left-over bikes were still being sold through the mail in the US as late as 1970.

I am pretty sure that the subject of this post is not going to last as long as P&M and will likely just vaporize into the ether some day.

They have a simple little video and the suspension concept is kind of neat, forks do not telescope, the links are the suspension.  Having the foot pegs move forward as the suspension compresses though is not so good.
