Dear Zero Owners,

March 25th Firmware Update (BMU V20)
This morning on March 25th, as part of our ongoing improvements, we are releasing a firmware update for select 2022+ Zero models that improves the accuracy of the battery state-of-charge and range display. This update addresses a condition where, over time, the system could overestimate available charge, which in rare cases could lead to the motorcycle shutting down before the display reaches 0%. Following installation, some riders may notice a lower battery percentage or reduced range estimate. This is expected and reflects corrected, more accurate readings — actual riding range is not affected.

I wonder if that's related to the recent hacking mentioned in the other thread, strange they'd be so quick to try and fix that when they let other issues fester for so long.

Damage control.
one of the parakeets bleats out the sky is falling, the rest start running around in circles screaming, because, ... that's what everyone else in the flock is doing.  they have to do something...even if nothing is needed.   This is their way of acknowledging they are aware that things have been said, and are looking into it, without adding any semblance of credibility to the story until they figure out exactly what the deal really IS... how much to fix, and how easy to fix, if it's worth it to fix or not.   As you mentioned before, in order for this hack to work, the hacker would basically need to be in a situation in which you are screwed anyways. The potential hack damage IF real, is just a symptom of a much larger problem you have.

Although my SR/F is a 2020, it does have the updated battery so apparently this fix applies to my bike as well.
