The battery looks about half of the volume of an Energica. And the motor looks smaller (?) That would somehow correspond to the weight being approx. 70 kg less.

There is a radiator in the front, but I does not look like the battery is liquid cooled.

Will be interesting to see how it races.

The Energica had to have the rider manage the battery life to get to the end of the race and still have power to  stay close to the race pace.

If the battery on the lightfighter is indeed significantly smaller, I wonder how they will deal with that issue?

I did not notice how that liquid cooling integrated with the battery, but it must.  Otherwise, why bother with such a massive radiator?

That lightfighter looks nice, id love to get my hands on one of them. was talking to the head coach of ARMA the other day at the track and we were talking about electric bikes and such and he brought it up along with some other people too and it sounds like an awesome bike.

too bad energica is 404.

Yeah, the radiator appears big compared to the tiny one we have on our Energicas.
But that must not mean that the battery is liquid cooled, my guess is, it's just off-the-shelf equipment. Looks to me like a radiator from a Duc Streety. Maybe a bit too large, but as long you don't race in winter, you never get too much cooling, right?

If the battery is indeed liquid cooled, the capacity per volume would be even less due to the coolant channels.
But maybe they have one of these Finnish Wonder Batteries  ;D ;D ;D

maybe they can funnel the air into the battery compartment via a scoop, swirl it and use the vortex effect to cool the batteries down with. put each cell in the middle of it's own tiny tornado and viola, air cooling, turbo charged.   Even with any added load a battery might give with cooling, the energica's radiator i think would be very sufficient, but going with cots would always be much better.  Although a thermostat would be extra bulk, and more shit to eventually get stuck, break, need replacement etc, having liquid cooling could serve a dual purpose really.  in cold climates, circ the water through the batteries to help warm them to a better operating temp, once everything is warmed up, then shunt heat to an external cooler.  This could work very effectively actually in cooler months to maximize the output, minimize strain on the batts by running them at say 90 deg F, vs say 40 deg f, although how much wear does thermal movement cause to cells over time?
