burned out the driver im thinking on my ribelle,  is this an energica specific part for the lamps and driver or is this something that is  a common part and i may find elsewhere
or
does energica have one stashed away somewhere they'd be willing to sell?

Oof, good luck. I had one go out and it wasn't cheap. Not sure where you can get a replacement but as I said in the other thread official channels are looking to compile a list of parts they need to prioritise.

Are both functions (high % low beam) compromised or just one of them? There are two LED drivers installed, one for each function.
So, if the low beam is not working anymore, you can replug these to the working high beam driver as a workaround.

If you can get hold of an older driver, maybe the info is helpful that I could successfully swap a 2022 driver against a 2020.

I tried to get in  contact with the company manufacturing the headlights. It's an Italian company but manufacturing in in China. I emailed both twice but never got an answer.

Maybe the best option now is to contact Energica HQ. If I understood Stonewolf's recent post correctly, they are open for shipping spare parts if they are on stock.

If you go to the Energica Motorcycles Owners Group on FaceBook, there is a fellow, Tan Cakar, who is able to fix those:


"Sorting out the head light ballast for good. Although only one of the broken , fixing it all with a brand new ballast (led drivers ) , these are the mighty USA made LUXDrive company.
Some of my led drivers were properly shut!
If anyone got this problem do not hesitate to contact! There is a guy in America can do this for you Americans , around Europe I can help out whoever needs these.  They are only £15 around 20 euros each and I spend 2 hours labour, and some connectors. So if you don’t know what to do just let me know I do them for you for cheap. I will charge 2 hours labour only."

given this seems to be a recurring issue, i wonder, all the other bikes out there,  honda / yammy etc, if one could plop one of their headlights / driver in there and it'd work.  maybe have to bork up some kind of mounting but...

track is shut down for the holidays so it'll give me some time to tear into it maybe and see if i can make something work. maybe I can bribe Eric of Monkeyworks with some coffee to do some research, his assistant is really good at looking up oddball fixes and stuff, she's the one who found a goofy bracket to fix my front fairing holder after the hit and run i had earlier on the experia.

when you turn the bike / lights on it'll flick once then turn off so thinking its probably the driver.  ill try swapping the lo / hi fix and see if that works.  being they are wired differently now because of the race package, the normal way no longer applies... but this also means i can swap shit now and it won't cause grief as the lights are now kind of a stand alone system.
