They seem much better than I would have expected from RE.


But I wish they would not mention "range" unless they mean at 100 KPH or whatever. I  can get almost any range I want with my Zero DS with the small 7.2 KWH battery. It can easily do 100 miles of range at a steady 15 MPH, but not even 25 miles at a steady 75 MPH. So is its range 100 or 25 miles?


What is the usable KWH of the batteries? That is the only "range" I want to know.

 Different channel same show but their production shows the other side.  The seat and paint on the wheels would lead me to guess there were a few of these on display.  Around minute 10 they discuss different configurations sounded to me like different battery capacities and different power output models.

Kind of a design effort. Previously I noted the shock at the rear does not have the ends equi distant from the swingarm pivot.  Today I note the swingarm is supported from the inside, which is kind of a vintage way to do it as opposed to hard points on the outside of the swingarm.  Makes for great room for the ankles but that primary reduction may cramp one ankle.

The capacity of the battery was mentioned as being 7.5 KWH and the range 110 miles.  So it sounds like it would be a good match for your DS. I didn't see the power of the motor mentioned. The price is given as 8.5K Pounds and the release date is the spring of 2026.

It's quite good value, looks lovely, and with a real-world range of about 50 miles which means it's useful enough for all sorts of fun and shenanigans. Can't watch the video here at work - how does it charge?

I don't think the review that I posted mentioned the operating voltage or how it charges. Perhaps the second video does, but I haven't watched that one. On thing that I found interesting is that the case is made of magnesium. That seems kind of expensive and I am not sure that magnesium is as good as aluminum for cooling the batteries.

Speaking of magnesium, isn't that metal hazardous if it starts burning? Adding a magnesium fire to a battery fire could be kind of scary, especially for the people who have to extinguish the fire.

With average riding, expect 50 miles of range with a 7.5 KWH battery.


I figure the average electric motorcycle will get around 7 miles per KWH average with average everyday riding on average normal days.
