Polaris dumps Indian motorcycles
« on: October 19, 2025, 08:11:07 PM »

Indian follows Brammo as Polaris dumps Indian motorcycles and turns it into a stand-alone company and sells it off to a private equity fund. Here is the news:

“Dumps Indian” is a little misleading, they still retain a not insignificant stake. Overall Polaris seems to have been good for Indian, look at their growth and income under their management, especially compared to Harley. And as much as I despise most PE companies, this is one of the vastly less evil ones.

Bad choice of videos.  at minute 0:17 states walking away completely.  Polaris has kept a minority stake is the real story unless that has been sold off in the last half a day or so.  The actual % Polaris kept does seem to be a secret at this point.

Isn't Polaris the company that is using Zero drive and batteries in their quads?  How is that going.

The new head guy at Harley has some of these you tube channels suggesting that he preps companies to be sold off to venture capital.

Polaris Ranger XP is quite nice.

Apparently over 100 hp, 140 ft-lb and 30 kWh Lithium Ion battery. AWD/2WD/Versa Trac Turf Mode. It can even tow 2500 lb. This would be nice on a farm. At 30000-40000 it's cheap compared to the newest tractors.

Wow, that one is really sweet!  when i seen them a few years ago they had some lead acid battery thing that could only do likr 35 mph.  im sorry but if i got a 4 wheeler i want to play in the woods with it and light it up,  35 is not cutting it.

those look really decent, dammit now i want one, look what you made me do!!
