They're making what we might describe as "bold claims"... I'll be interested to see if they can deliver even half of what they say they're going to but right now they seem to have their fingers on the pulse and a proven totally excellent existing product so I shall give them the benefit of the doubt.

At the end of the day it'll all come down to battery capacity and charging rate, and they claim it'll take less time to charge than get a coffee which to my mind is an absolute max of 30 minutes, and 800cc performance which is around the ~100bhp mark currently in the cooking streetbike world.

They need some sort of saddle bag style removable external chargers for that EX and SM for starters but yeah most people love them.

My closest Zero dealer got one in and it sold before they got is assembled out of the crate.

or better yet, external swappable batteries for the thing, maybe with an anderson connector or something, and charge / swap stations, you pull in / swap out and go, there's your shorter than a cup of coffee time.    Maybe make the bike come with swappable battery on it, so yon can opt to keep it, or just 'rent them' pay a deposit and then say a flat fee per kw every time you swap it out.  That'd bring the price down, one of their tick marks, make it easier to maintain, tick, and make it potentially a bit lighter, tick.     maybe have the people scan their battery when they swap them to keep track of logistics, miles. kw used, how it performed bla bla, so when batteries get weak, take them out of service and put newer ones in.  Tesla set up stations all over for his cars, this is doable,  the batteries can be smaller, maybe make 2 or 4 of them so they are easier to handle and plug in / out, have gas stations or opt in's get them shipped in, say 30 of them and a charger in back, keep the flow circulating.

Trouble is currently to get about 100 miles of range (minimum useful IMHO) you need an 80kg battery.

or 4 smaller 20's. which is heftable by most people.  Think like a cradle where a, lets just call it 4 x 4 x 24 prismatic cell, 2 x 2 fit in there,  maybe two load on left side two on right for 4 total a side by side cradle on each side.  you could literally unlatch the battery lift out, plop new one in press down to make contact with electrical contacts, bolt / shackle back down and be back in business in a few minutes,  take old batteries stick in charger right next to you, and when you are done with your 60 minutes of  fun, give or take, they are charged again.  or in the case of long trips, ready for the next swapper.

They're already attempting this sort of thing of course in Asia but it'll never catch on in Europe and especially not the States so I expect it'll be a dead end. And you won't get my wife hefting a 20kg battery anywhere, let alone four of them one after the other.

If we're going to go down the route of removable batteries why bother with expensive lithium at all? Just make cheapass aluminium-air batteries and throw them away when you're done.
