Hello, the 2024 Kawasaki Z7 HEV and Ninja 7 HEV hybrid bikes have many features that are similar to full BEV Motorcycles, there's a bunch of overlap in featureset, I wonder if perhaps creating a subforum for that series of motorcycles would be an agreeable idea to those with power here?

As an example, the series has a Vectrix-style throttle that is apparently used for both regen in normal riding, as well as regulating forward and reverse taxiing propulsion in "WALK" mode.

Please advise, I hope this finds the moderators well.

I have scanned further and see that this is an unpopular idea due to the ecological wing seeing this particular motorcycle as not aligning with their interests.  The Hybrid modes on this motorcycle are tuned toward enhanced short-term performance and not fuel economy.  Having such a forum may end up being too raucous.  Do what you will.

I mean, what needs to be said on them has been said in multiple threads and it's not like anyone is actually buying them, and if they do they'd head on over to a Kwak forum for any discussion or help. You could maybe justify a hybrid section but there's unlikely to be any more come to market, and it would be kind of like asking for all those hybrid cars to be included on an electric car forum.

TheRan, they might make a few more for compliance.  Just enough so they can tell those who would screech, yes we DID make a green bike, it didn't sell, we tried.  If it did sell any, i forsee the same problem they always have, as people get better with their bike, they wan't faster, so now it's not enough, ill get the 750 ice, because it  IS faster, and the electric gimmick, now that i do know how to ride, is not all that big of a deal.  The novelty will quickly wear out.

ps i could see maybe one subthread for Hybrids, as a manu maybe, for people to post under, if the mods know how to operate the software past the kick out shitheads and spammers mode and have the rights.  This is smf software, which is what i use and it's really easy to use / figure out if one wanted.  TBH haven't really heard a thing from the owner really in a long time and have a feeling the board's been running on auto for a long time now.

I should also add good luck with actually getting any admins to do it, there are two and one hasn't been online since 2023 and the other since June. If the mods are capable of adding new sections then there are three, one also hasn't been online since 2023 and the other April but Demoni was on a couple days ago.

Assuming long as we’re asking for new sections (I’m not), then a Zero gen 3 section is long overdue.

If you set up a Kawasaki Hybrid forum I'll support it I have two Hybrids and tons of information.

well except the forum errors maybe.
if it's good nuff and they manage to find a live admin who gives a shit, it might even, eventually, one day, make it to its own thread
