 if you tip it over, knock it over, crash it, you get a tip over alert on your screen that kills the power to the bike (except for the screen).

where is this actual sensor located at, and what kind is it, a ball switch, float thingie or what?  about how much does it take to set it off too?  also is it different between the experia and the ego/ribelle?   i was looking at the video the insurance company has of my hit and run and while i didn't see the exact time it got set off, was thinking, hmm that wasn't initially tipped over that far, at least it didn't look so, the bags kind of hold the experia from just a flat ass on the ground, which makes it tons easier to pick back up, along with the handles, but was wondering if you could set it off in a real steep turn like on a track?

So all bikes have a 3 axis gyro chip in the VCU that provides x,y & z values, this is what the bike uses to disable the throttle in the event of a tip over. I don't know the threshold but MotoE bikes have the feature and corner around 63*, so your probably safe 
The Experia does have an additional IMU for the Bosch MSC, it has a higher poling rate (100 times per second) for the cornering ABS.

Cornering and being tipped over feel very different and will do to the gyro/accelerometer combo. In a corner the gyro will sense the real angle in a corner. The accelerometer will give the same signal as if you're upright - in the same way the a bucket of water on your pillion seat wouldn't (in theory) spill or fall off.

Thank you Demoni, i was curious if it was some sort of gyro / accelerometer or a simple switch.  Given i was toying with bringing my experia on the track, and well, it's not really built to be a track bike, was wondering if it might cause issues.  yah i don't quite think ill hit 63 degrees, at least not by choice!

Fred, thank you for the input, yah that's what i was wondering if it's a real time feed or just a simple switch, it  goes click and you get a tip over alarm.

oh his behalf, he does have those big fairings that would help keep it up if it started dropping down too much, give him time to pull back up a bit. they are more like curb ticklers

The only time I get that far over is when the bike falls over.

ive dragged my foot numerous times, even tucked all the way up where its sposed to be.  id assume if i had body position correct which i often don't, i can't get that far off the seat like i need to it'd probably be my knee.  i lead with my head to try to compensate for my lack of being able to move that far (spinal hardware / neck fusions etc), but still, he's basically holding the bike up at that point.  ive been there a time or two but it's been an oh shit moment .vs. superbly honed, yah, im bad i meant do to fhat   you start losing speed or get abrupt change midway on a long hard turn, like from the person in ffont of you slows way the f down all of the sudden, and you can push your bike down into the dirt if you are not careful.
