Sign up for a test ride, they have been collecting data for a while now.  Was there apply for the lease that was really a baloon loan?  There was a bank named that would do the lease/loan.  I tried to talk to the promoters on tis site about the who pays the property tax in lease vs loan.

From RideApart: https://www.rideapart.com/news/762424/damon-motorcycles-ai-io-pivot-connected-services/

Reminds me of a time not long ago when companies would change their names to include the term "Blockchain" in their corporate identity. Turns out they did it just because that was the "buzzword" at the time and boosted their stock price for their investors and not much else...

jaime, they will also do stuff like that for essentially free advertisement too.  You go searching something about block chain, and an electric bike pops up, you go, oh?? what's this??  how does this fit in with crypto?..now you goto their website to see.

That makes sense. Like the old trick of adding buzzwords to website <meta> tags so no matter what you searched for, the website would pop up in search results basically poisoning the entire concept.

That's one thing I never understood.  places use fake names to call you, pretend to be a relative, government, a friend, something familiar to get you to answer the phone, or open their mail, or whatever, then they pitch their scumbag routine at you

ok... so let me think on this for a second,  your very first contact with me, was via a lie, deception, dishonesty, and now you want me to trust you, with my money.  Why would you all of the sudden become Honest Abe, when you started out with a lit?

yet people do it every day.  The wealth of ignorance is astounding sometimes.

The Copilot feature was always going to collect your riding data.  That was the point.  It would learn where streets weren't safe and crashes were more likely.
They always said they wanted to sell this tech to all motorcycle companies as part of their business plan.
This was what Scully was for.  They bought Scully and saw it needed more room and power than a helmet had so they would put it in the bike itself.

Jay made his money from his company that was an insurance tattletale device like the "Snap shot" from Progressive Insurance unit.

I pointed out to them that they needed an opt out option for customers and they said at the time it would have one.  Doesn't matter much now though.

Tesla has been doing this same thing for their FSD.  That's why they let people beta test it.  It's learning how you drive to use in it's robo taxis.

I don't understand.

There are no motorcycles.

How can they still be collecting deposits and not being charged with fraud?

 >:( >:( >:(

*this was supposed to be the whole page for the deposit link ^^^

The same way another company can promise you.. thunder storms with all the light show, and not sell a bike, but still sell stock, but no bikes.
PT Barnum summed it up pretty nicely too.

Can you imagine what sort of idiot you'd have to be to fall for this scam

Or what kind of moron doesn't know that a scam involves someone losing their money.  Everyone who wanted their deposit back from Damon got it.

Now selling 5 year battery warranties when you know you are about to go bankrupt, that's a scam.  Or selling bikes directly to customers all of a sudden like it's just good customer service and not the fact that all the Energica dealers had gotten out.  That's some slimy bullshit.

Or going on a forum acting like you just love the product so much and encourage people to drop over $20k on bikes from a dying company while you get paid to do so.  Did you ever mention how much you made from doing that Morgan?  What is that called?

Damon appears to have failed to make any production bikes and likely never will but I'm not out a dime from them.  As far as I know no one else that put a deposit down is either.  Investors have to suck up the risk when they drop their money but that's all investments.
