and the EGO as well, it's the same powertrain, just tweaked software.
i think you can say the same for the ss9 as well, it's just software differences

I got an update from EEMC today
Quote
We’ve now received the revised importer/dealer contract from the new Energica, which we are in the process of signing.

In the meantime, we’re compiling a list of parts requirements for customers. If you have any parts, bodywork, or components you’re looking to replace, please send them over and we’ll include them in our request for pricing and availability.

We now have access to new old stock parts from the new European distribution centre, with supply expected to be supported again by the new factory as production of parts and motorcycles resumes later this year.

On the subject of new bikes — if you are interested in a new model with full warranty, please do let us know. The first model expected back into production is the Experia. While pricing hasn’t been finalised, we’re being advised to expect at least a 20% reduction. Part exchanges welcome.

We’ve also raised the possibility of extended warranties for existing customers’ bikes (subject to inspection by EEMC), which the new Energica operators are seriously considering.

Stonewolf, Thanks for the post. So it seems like European dealers have been contacted and are signing dealership contracts while US dealers have never been contacted, at least mine hasn't. So while it seems Energica is coming back to life it doesn't seem like they are coming back to the US. Maybe one of the European dealers would be willing to supply parts to US riders.

I expect it's more that they're prioritising the markets where they think they're going to do best. They'll be back to the US in time and I expect a parts channel will at least open up given the company's historical focus on customer care and the fact they seem to be continuing that policy by putting existing customers needs ahead of production and examining extended warranties. If you look at other companies even Zero has refocused on the European market and I think the American market just faces too many structural problems from chargers, to market acceptance, to lack of government support.

The 20% price drop is really interesting, that would bring Experia down from 1.5 S1000XRs to 1.17 by UK pricing and maybe more like parity somewhere with a higher purchase grants.

I live in Germany and see the situation also relaxing over here. For the US, I‘m surprised that you guys seem to ignore the tariff impact. The situation is anything but stable and calculable.
Actually, I lost the overview on where we are right now. I just noted something like 25% import tariff and 50% on lithium batteries in case contents are coming from China. I do not know if packing the cells in Europe (well, that’s the former status) qualifies to be excluded from the 50% "Metal" Surcharge Section 232. AFAIK Farasis produces in China, and isn’t Energica using Farasis cells? One last argument: The US market seems so neglicable that even Zero has moved HQ to Europe. So I totally understand if new Energica sits back and observes before making moves in the US.
Can‘t you see this too?

Well considering we have not heard anything official from them i have no idea what they are up to.

i mean, they fired / let go their friggin CEO ffs,   OVER A MONTH AGO AND HAVE NOT MADE ANY OFFICIAL PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENTS OF THIS FACT.  that I am aware of.

How can a company hide such a huge thing from the public like that?  That's something that investors would absolutely like to know about, and id think there is probably some legal obligations too, though not sure on that latter part.  Just seems so shady how they went dark on communications.   Are they getting ready to do a rug pull on us or what?

What happened to all the new video's and amazing wonderful video's and announcements we were to get any day now... a month ago?

What is the status of the shipment to coughcough india-singapore of the new factory.  Is the stuff still sitting on a pier somewhere?  Last i heard they have not even shipped it yet.   do they have a building yet?  where?

what is their current prospectus ?? .. the game plan moving forward.  every company should have one of those... we hear vague mumblings but no real plan.

How much of the original crew is left?  how many people did they fire / let go / quit?  I have a strong feeling that Italian pride and quality is pretty much probably out the window now.  izzat baby!!

Heard the assembly line is back in production in italy and they are making Experia's again, ok so you DO have parts back in now, when the fuck are WE going to start seeing spare parts.  Or is this just another rumor run wild?

speaking of, how are they making an income?  They didn't have  bunch left over from the crowdsourcing after buying the thing, so where is the operating cash coming from now, to sustain payrolls of the super few people left, and general operations running now?  Hopefully they are not into some slimy shit like ideanomics was.  Some transparency would be nice, as nobody wants to see a repeat of that again.

most, i see what you are saying, but still,  they have dealers here who are still interested and they won't even talk to them.  That's incompetent at best, shitty at worst.  There are significant people here who need parts and maintenance, they had a site here which would have avoided those tarriffs when 'assembled' here, in San Francisco.  there were ways around that if needed, but they shut it all down.

in fact the site in San Fran was sustaining itself, was still doing business, when the rest was a mess, and they shut it down.  I can see where you think they are abandoning the US market, but a larger view shows them abandoning ship imo.  I surely hope not, myself and EVERY person who owns one of their bikes, has an investment in them.

where have they opened up anywhere else officially?  I don't see it.  Nothing is open, they are not talking to anyone, phone calls, e mails are left unanswered...  it's not looking too good.

By implementing tariffs on parts governments are basically forcing Asia, with China and India being the largest players, to fully assemble the products and ship them complete. The quality of Asian products is soaring. They have long since bypassed American quality and are better than Europe in most things these days. Why purchase Mercedes when you can purchase Shing Gan Sheo Gat with more luxury at half the price. It's like governments are not seeing the whole picture and think all companies can make all their profits from social media. End-Of-Rant. :)

Farasis is only one of many manufacturers. I would not worry about the brand on the batteries. When companies are buying battery cells (or any product) by the tens/hundreds of thousands they visit the factories, see the production floor and make spot checks. Cheap fakes cannot meet the volumes. Quality is pretty much assured by the quantity.

The US market is still one of the largest single markets in the world. It used to have large wealthy population (the number of well off individuals is unfortunately shrinking fast), but it is small compared to the whole world. For example. US is about 1% of Suzuki total sales. Similar story from many other large companies. US has fickle, litigious, nitpicking customers, bureaucratic hindrances and shipping there costs a fortune. Why would these companies spend lot of money to design products for unpredictable highly regulated shrinking market when they can design and make products for large and growing markets with less bureaucracy nearer to their manufacturing bases.

Have you guys seen the new Energica Motor website?  Looks pretty pro.  Glad to see things getting back!! Now all they need to do is look into Donut Battery and have that 5C charging rate for future bikes.
Also it says that the bikes are built in Modena at least for Eva.  Doubt that is some kind of a typo.... Very good

I beg to differ. The website says 'Born in Modena' or 'Engineered in Modena'.

That is a nice website.  I really wish there was local dealer in the USA.  Feels like I am riding a timebomb.

Just talked to my dealer here in Northern Germany.
Communication with Energica is flowing again, albeit still a bit spotty.
They ordered spare parts but did not receive anything yet.

So, no breakthrough development but things appear to get better bit by bit...

Interesting that the new Ribelle models are detuned from 169HP to 147HP, so seemingly there's a marketing element at play resulting in engineering tweaks.

Good signals to explain Energica's slow come-back...the website says "Built in Modena" however, which is suspect.

That's a mistake, the page needs proof reading.

The use that number repeatedly as both peak and continuous power (or sustained power as they're calling it) and down in the stats block they do actually give the proper peak power figure of 126kW (169hp).

Extremely annoyingly they're still quoting charge rates in mph instead of kW.

It's more likely to be slop these days. Either way the issue isn't how it was made, it's the lack of proper review before launching.
