I’m certain it’s just a new dealer/distributor that’s a little over enthusiastic and nothing from Energica themselves.

Aaand yep, that’s exactly what the article is, purely some “writer’s” hyperbole off a couple of lines of PR from the dealer

Had my call with Robert deMunk, Director of  Operations of Energica.  My understanding, which may be imprecise, is that Energica is ramping up to start supplying parts HOPEFULLY end of Q1 2026 and bikes end of Q3 2026.

They will be reaching out to dealerships and trying to get that parts availability system in place ASAP.  Robert told me he understands how essential dealer support is for moving forward.

He also said that turning on computer access for firmware updates and the like is an easy step for them to take and he will be getting willing dealerships connected right away.

Sounds promising.

It also sounds pretty disorganized.

Time will tell the tale.

Sounds good-ish....all I really want it to be able to turn the silly service (spanner) light off without travelling 100's of km each way to to my dealer....Light has been on essentially since I bought the bike in early 23 and the dealer has now changed to mainly a Royal Enfield dealer...so who know what's going to happen in the future for us in Australia.

Had a nice chat with Robert online yesterday. Here is what we talked about and what I understood.

- Energica moved to new premises near Maranello, new building is considerably smaller.
- Parts and production were shipped to Singapore.
- Main spare parts warehouse will be in India.
- R&D and smaller spare parts supply (mainly plastic stuff) will remain in Italy.
- Dealers (he called them importers) will be asked to warehouse essential spare parts themselves.
- Shipping of spare parts planned to start during Q1/26.
- Energica is currently talking to 'former' dealers if they are willing to continue selling bikes.
- In Germany two dealers already declined (and I know of a third one who will not continue).
- The phone at Energica in Italy is staffed again and if you have problems or suggestions, you are invited to give them a call.

Just had my call today. „As he said“ (JotJotDe) ;), plus:
- PCUs will probably be available end Jan/beg Feb
- Rob has understood that regular communication is key to regain trust with customers - a new video is being prepared
- asked for the lessons learned from the old structure, he mentioned (I) Management decisions, (II) BOM/bill-of-material cost (so all purchased parts, (III) production cost. Prio 1 is to tackle III by moving production to Indonesia and homologate that. New bikes to be expected Q2/Q3 2026. Then tackle II by sourcing some components in Asia.
- whole homologation is expensive, he feels EU is overregulating things. More simple in Asia
- target markets are EU, potential growth expected APAC / specifically in Australia
- biggest growth potential segment he sees in Adventure Bikes like Experia

EDIT: Forgot one thing - the new legal company will not honor the old 5 yr warranty sold since 2022. But they will respond favorably for goodwill requests.

Nasty rant to counter the hopeful mood I was in yesterday...

Putting a new Energica bike and rider on the MotoAmerica grid this season would actually mean something for credibility.

Those owner calls?  Why aren't they just mass-emailing every single owner with real updates?
Where are the interviews with motorcycle press and influencers?

They need frequent, precise, reliable info backed by actual action, not this vague hope-dumping.

With the dealer network basically nonexistent, they should already be rolling out on-site service for owners. If your bike dies today, you are still high and dry.

After all the info we've gotten so far (or lack thereof), it's painfully obvious they don't even have a real business plan.

And the kicker: Even Energica of New England—the biggest evangelist dealer in the US—hasn't gotten proper info or a direct call. If you can't even loop in your most loyal partners, what does that say about your commitment? It screams incompetence.

This "new" Energica is off to a rocky start.  For you small business owners out there, would you run your startup this way?

I hope I am off base in my perception.

What about the 'energica usa'.
Is there still going to be a I guess you could call it depot level repair in the US or is everything going to conveniently essentially slither it's way to india?  They don't answer e mails or anything over there, what are the plans for the san fran shop?

now they are saying, well we want the dealers to stock their own parts.  oh really?  how many of these dealers were left holding the bag when the old energica went away?  do you honestly think they are going to throw more money at you... just trust us, we'll be very vague, but trust us?

ok lets say i need a knibbly pin, and the dealer does not have that one in stock, how long is it going to be for the company to ship one to the dealer?  is the company going to warehouse parts TO send out, or is this going to be one of those, well we will wait for one to break, then once he orders it, then we'll have one made, then mark up and sell to dealer when it finally arrives, then dealer marks up and puts in our bikes, when it finally arrives here another 4 months later.

this does not sound very promising at all.

What about the Energica shop in San Francisco, can't they stock parts like they always have, after all that IS your repair depot, and what would you call it, assembly and inspection point when they come into the us from Italy?

I can only wish/hope to have a dealer in Australia....We essentially only had one to start with before it all fell apart...and Aus is close to the size of the US. Getting to a dealer was impossible for most of us before the collapse. I was one of the lucky ones and it was only a 300km round trip.....we have owners who were 4000+km away...what do they do..??

What about the 'energica usa'.

Tariffs...a well optioned Ribelle pushing 28k USD previously will cost upwards of 15%-26% more if exported from Asia / India...potential show stopper for usa sales, IMO.

UNLESS they ship them in like kit form, and put them together in San Fran, , ie the USA even though it don't look like it when you go there...then it's final assembly is in the us and no tariffs.
I am not understanding the singapore thing here.  Singapore is not exactly cheap labor, which seems to be what the new 'investors' are looking for.  India is cheap labor, well cheap everything really.  I understand they are not happy with the eu, but singapore is not really an answer to that.  again, unless you are doing a rug pull for the tarriffs, but why, when you have the shop IN the usa already?

Also, btw, a well optioned Ribelle, is more like 32k after the dealer rapes you, and sales tax, and dmv rapes you, and and and and...  Still there are plenty of people who love the concept and will buy one.   Even at 26k w/o any tarriffs, tha's a biggly amount to pay for a bike, yet they still sold well.  You can't say it was the 7500 Rebate either, because the bikes unfortunately did not qualify for that.

The Experia really is a fun bike, and extremely well suited for govt use, ie traffic cops, meter maid, general utility, city workers, they could easily sell  a ton to municipalities with a bit of a proper pitch.  From what we were lead to believe, that's exactly what they did, when it all went downhill, and their books were full, but the last set of 'investors' starved them for cash and wouldn't let the bike company run the company properly.  I hope we are not seeing the same thing here.

I really would love to see their business model, a solid model, and not something like the south park skit with the underpants gnomes.

Also, if they cold chuck in those brand-new solid-state cells from Donut Lab for the new models it would definitely help the brand.  If they don't, they will be way behind in terms of tech. Here is the video link of what I'm talking about if you haven't seen it already.  This is nuts, in a good way.

Please do not dilute this thread with Verge Vaporware.

They have to get up and running first before they go doing anything with new R and D.

Still, when you fill up the car, do you just fly up to the pump, gush the gas and tear right back off on your trip, or do you stop and take a leak, get a drink, maybe a snack, stretch the legs, or in the case of bikes, your fingers?  Everyone is so hung up on charging time, they overlook the one big difference in refueling, with a gas vehicle you pretty much have to stand there while fueling through the entire process, that wastes your time, with electric, you turn it on and walk away, it's charging while you are doing your other stuff, eating, drinking, stretching, the time is not wasted listening to some stupid advertising coming out of the gas pump.  with gas you want it to go fast so you can then go and do your other stuff, with electric, you already ARE doing your other stuff while filling back up, so how important is hyper fast charging really?

Do these batteries need active cooling? where you going to put that at on the energica?  it's already heavy enough as it is.

So last Friday I was scheduled for my call with Energica. I dialed into the call but no one from Energica ever came on. Then I get an email from Rob, Energica Aftersales Support thanking me for my call and input! I responded that no one from Energica ever came into the call and I described what I needed done to my Ribelle and how Energica needed to reach out to the dealer I used to get my Energica serviced at. No response back from that email.

I never received my call either.
Have a feeling they are going the way of lightning.  bunch of promises and skipping town leaving a lot of folks holding the bag.

this is not the way any company, startup, transfer or any, should handle it's customer service / customer support.   perhaps it's 'owners' are just totally incompetent and need adult supervision.  it doesn't take much to buy a company on a whim, one of these crypto millionaire kids, with a little luck, a bot and no common sense.  it takes a LOT to keep that company alive and well.  That seems to be severely lacking.

we know about nothing of the new owners, everything is vague and fleeting.   and video soon !!!

What's really going on here?
