Good luck with your calls. hopefully you get some insights on where they are on the shipping and getting shop set up.  That's really the first step, even for getting parts out, they need somewhere to send them to!!  They are going to need some money flow, and right now, that's about the easiest way to get it going, as pretty much all of us need parts at this point.  Hell, even if they put together a bunch of the annual fluid change out kids and sold them, that'd be a good fast flip.

I wonder what role Italy is still going to play since they are moving the machinery to, wherever.  Is it just admin and engineering or some design and manufacturing, maybe prototyping or something.  it'd be really cool if we could see pictures of stuff once they get it all back up and running.

What makes you believe they are moving at all - besides obviously moving to another building? They said engineering and operations will remain in Italy.

According to the Swiss importer of Energica motorcycles, all inventory and production machinery has been relocated to Singapore, which is why the diagnostic and firmware-update servers are currently offline. Given Singapore’s well-known high labor costs, I wonder to what extent this location is intended to serve as a long-term production hub.

they said they were.  that is why they boxed everything up to move it.  o and e in italy, ok as an admin role,? will they have any abilities to do small manufacture to prototype or test stuff or is it all paperwork and computers over there.  i know of a few companies, where the engineers aren't allowed out of the office building and they'd never dare give them tools or sharp objects they might hurt themselves with     i know companies where the engineers are right on the deck with the workers on a daily basis, THAT is a good engineer, they actually see and understand  how the stuff works, not just what looks good on paper or sounds good in a chat room.  Energica was very hands on, will they still operate that way under the new regime, and if so, to what extent since they took all their toys away?

that will be interesting to see what happens with the singapore home port, with prices and all, yes labor is a bit expensive but it's probably higher quality than you'd find in some other places.

I had my call with Rob, he seems like a genuine human and wasn't full of corporate bullshit or empty promises. Engineering in Italy, corporate HQ in Singapore, manufacturing/assembly not in china. They sound like they know their current users and existing dealers are the reputation on which future success lies, and will do what they can to look after us. Its super impressive they are getting a guy like Rob how is a motorcyclist and engineer himself to make these calls rather than some PR weenie, the corollary of that is he is time limited, but is making the effort to contact every owner who responded to the info emails.

it would have been much easier then if they would have made a video.. get the CEO on again like last time to give an update, this is where we are at this is what is next.  they did say there was going to be more info soon,  while the personal touch thing is nice, it would have been a lot more efficient to do the video so everyone knows, even those who may not have gotten an invite, and then offer to do one on ones for any remaining questions that folks may have had.

so did they say anything about the status of getting the stuff shipped and the new shop set up, where are they at with that, that is very critical.  what about parts have they ordered anything yet, if so what, when can we expect to possibly start seeing stuff become available.
simple things like that can go a long way towards quelling anxiety.

how are the first experias on their way to the showroom as they speak?
where did they build them, their assembly line is torn down right?
where did they get the parts to build them?
if they ARE getting parts, then why aren't the existing customers being taken care of, we were promised we would be first priority.

This is beginning to smell like they got struck by 'lightning' and that 'ive been burnt' smell is in the air.

They have been a couple of finished Experias (as well as other models) in the inventory when the company was sold. That was visible in the inventory list from the auctioneer.
I guess those are the bikes that are going on display right now.

some of those were demo bikes i thought.  some were taken apart for parts, so they could fix what was still in their inventory i believe, and a part of that inventory was sold when they had their fire sale and were letting them go for what was it 12k?

even with that, why put up models and say order now!!!  when you know damned well that a new bike won't be built for probably a year.  if you need orders, they had over 300 of them on order was it? on the books from the various municipalities and police forces etc that initially ordered the first run of them. why make that list bigger, w/o at least trying to 'take care of our customers' and work those down.

i want to see them succeed, i got 3 of their bikes but man, this is...  something seems a bit off here.
