Singapore also is kind of a neutral hub to sell anywhere. India, China, US, Russia, EU, ..Singapore can do it.
Singapore is also heavy on AI and robotics too, like Japan is correct? Perhaps there won't be as much human hands on, moving forward and a lot of the stuff is done via robotics or outsourced, and Singapore is just a final put together place.
That's one thing that always has kind of hamstringed Energica is their insistence of doing everything inhouse. For proprietary stuff, i absolutely get it, but for more common stuff? why? especially if it wasn't cheaper to do inhouse. Your Experia centerstands as an example. That is NOT a complicated item to make, and any first year trade school student could make one that is of high quality, you could not have contracted that out to a local machine shop or something? or Alibaba'd it in worse case, instead of leaving people hanging? Especially as they started growing, which they absolutely would have with the roll out of the experia, that already had hundreds of orders!!, sooner or later they'd have had to start having 3rd parties take care of 'lesser importance / critical' parts.
Hopefully if paperwork is being signed, they'll be reopening their doors very soon. I have heard word that they will absolutely NOT leave their current customer base hanging, and will be making repair parts and stuff once again. However as mentioned earlier, this will take a bit of time to get stuff moved, the new factory setup and rolling etc. Maybe by the end of the year we'll start seeing parts again, and later next year, murmerings of new models??
Hopefully we get some more official word from them on some progress, or at least a proposed / planned path forward.
I'LL anxiously wait.
