I've attached both an STL file that you can slice and print, as well as the OpenSCAD source file if you want to tweak the design.

After printing, I gently heated the face that attaches to the button and made it slightly concave by pressing it against a rounded surface. This probably isn't necessary but it can't hurt.

I recommend attaching it with 3M VHB foam tape (5952F or similar).

yah, that was one thing that was in a very awkward place, at least for me.  when you have to reach across with the other hand to set the cruise conteol because you can't really reach it very easy in it's current position, that's not a good place for it.  Then again ,in their defense there is not a hell of a lot of room over there in the thumb radius to put stuff to begin with.  something under the brake handle that you can push some flat panel buttons with your regular fingers or something might work or built into the throttle lever that you finger tip activate.

When I had my SS9, I got pretty good at holding the throttle perfectly at a set position with my outer three fingers to move my right thumb over to the CC button, but even after a lot of practice, I still whisky-throttled sometimes so I never did it in traffic. I still appreciated the ability to relax my grip on longer rides, and genuine electronic CC is way more useful than a throttle lock. I don’t know why every bike doesn’t have CC, to be honest. What does it add to the cost of manufacture, 12 cents?

The CC knob relocation Smithy did goes looks like a design Hans Capelle created in 2022 (I think) who rode a SS9 but had sold it early last year (I am missing his tremendously helpful posts about how he tinkered with his bike).

When trying to reach for the CC button with thick winter gloves, I twice managed to hit the kill switch. Not nice!

oh  don't get me started on that!   while the race bike does not have cruise control,  fat fingering and fiddle fuxxing the kill swich coming in hot on a turn...is embarrassing to say the least.  then playing flappy bird to let everyone behind you know, something is not right, then having to explain after the session,  what happened Aaron?

Wtf is that ?! I have 3D printed a housing with 2 buttons for the left side, under the horn. You are not aware of this 3D print ?
I can share it if you need it. A guy from the FB group made it.

I think many of the „older“ Energica owners knows Hans‘ version. If you want to avoid honking the horn just use the front position for the CC engage button. Just remember to fix the housing properly (there‘s s tiny screw forseen) cause if not you likely push the housing free of the switch set.
