[/quote]I did not catch it. And it was not plugged in at the time. It was charged with the target set to 65% and I removed the charging cable days ago. It said "65% SOC" so everything looked fine until I decided to use the bike with a charge to 100% to go to Quincy, CA, 80 miles from here.
Then I plugged in my Tesla Tap to my 12KW Tesla Wall connector, waited a couple of minutes and then plugged it into the charge port. It instantly changed to 97% SOC and got to 100% in just a few minutes and then stopped charging.
So what it looks like happened, for whatever reason, the bike was stuck at an indication of 65% SOC and that made the real charger (in the bike) believe it was at 65%, even though it was really at 97% SOC.
So I assume the SOC indicator got stuck at 65%, making the charger "think" it was really just a hair below 65% when it was up to 97% SOC in reality, so it just kept on charging. IOW, even a "normal" bike will stay at 65% target for a minute or two before the charger shuts off. So I assume the bike "thought" it was in that range, not fully at the shutoff at 65% SOC target.
Just guessing.
Somehow, plugging in the Tesla Tap made ii show the true 97 SOC% and no problems noticed since then.

I too hope it was just a one time error. If the SOC (Voltmeter) is not registering and thus not displaying the true voltage, I guess there could be concern the bike would just charge indefinitely, but I presume the BMS has multiple redundancies in place to prevent this.
