i posted a new thread with all the vivid details as i remember them, as much as i remember at it's starting to come back to me.
I think the bike is very fixable, dodged a bullet there it fell over and slid.... it's so fkn heavy gravity probably wasn't strong enough to flip it fully
it looks like it face planted layed over and just slid on its side. new control panel, fairings, handlebar switch and wire harness and left foot peg assy and i honestly think were back to the races.
I had a little over 2200 track miles on it so meh... doing ok wreck to day ratio, and for what little it's worth, not being my fault makes me feel a little better, especially as bad as the other guy is, if it was MY fault he got hurt that bad id be sick about it. ive looked at the track map and replayed this 1000 times now, is there anything i could have done differently to avoid, or done wrong and need to correct?? did i come in too soon? etc etxc. nope, it was sound. on a normal run he had no reason to come back over, no matter what track line he wanted to take, UNLESS it was an emergency... with the info he had, logically projecting that he can't read minds or see out of the back of his head, he basically was trapped. slam her or slam me. since he didn't see me, he did the right thing by diving my way, unfortunately for both of us.
go back on the track??? the day after the wreck i was back talking to the owner showing him, you see, as soon as i get this cast off the throttle hand, i can ride with a splint, i still got good grip and don't have a clutch so all this hand does is hold the bar. so fk yes im getting back, can't wait!!
besides, i got the ribelle, i can tape her up, take the bags off and run her on the track too. be a little learning curve but easily doable.
