I think you want to measure your pistons.  If you have OEM  Energica calipers, I'd expect you have 34mm pistons.

I guess I will have to do that.

If they are 34 MM piston calipers, and they are OEM, then the master would need to be a 19 bore not a 17.

I've a 2023 Ego+ RS.  It isn't a Clienti.

The bike has Marzocchi forks and Brembo 20.9883 (left) and 20.9884 (right) monoblock calipers.

The calipers have 100mm bolt spacing and four 34 mm pistons.

I have a 19 M/C.

I thought the Eva and Ego shared brake parts?  But maybe a difference in years?

Have you measured your pistons?

The 18mm Magura Hc1 is now looking like a good option for what I am trying to do.

Very strange that Ed at AF1 does not have this info, and strange that it is not published.  Seems important to know!

The calipers measure 30mm.

Found a marking on the OEM master that says 18.  That seems likley to be the bore designation.

Since I am not sure if I want a 17 or a 16 bore, I think I will start the experiment with a Nissin 17 mm master, which is good quality made in Japan kit, and it will at least give me an idea if I am heading in the right direction in terms of ideal bore size for the calipers.

The 17mm nissin master works nicely compared to the 18mm that was on there.  Softer lever, better modulation for my taste.  16mm will be too soft for me so I will stick with the 17mm.

With dual 4 piston 30mm calipers:

18 mm was a 20 ratio

17 mm provides a 24 ratio

16 mm would be 28:1

30:1 - soft feel
27:1 - sweet spot
23:1 - firm feel
20:1 - wooden feel
