Looking to confirm some details of the braking system on the Rebelle.

Edit:  Seems that the OEM Bore is 18mm and the Calipers are M430/M50 30 mm

I believe the front calipers are Brembo M50 equivalents with 30mm pistons and the master is a 19mm bore.  Is that correct?

I am looking into fitting an 18 or 17mm bore master for softer feel with more lever travel.

I believe the existing is the 19mm brembo RCS, so one would assume the 17mm RCS would be a direct swap

Not sure the standard Ego has M4.  The Corsa Cliente  model of it does, that documentation I have.

Funny that we are having a hard time determining this info with certainty!

I've a 2023 Ego+ RS.  It isn't a Clienti.

The bike has Marzocchi forks and Brembo 20.9883 (left) and 20.9884 (right) monoblock calipers.

The calipers have 100mm bolt spacing and four 34 mm pistons.

I have a 19 M/C.

I thought the Eva and Ego shared brake parts?  But maybe a difference in years?

Have you measured your pistons?

The Corsa brochure says M4 calipers.  But also 32/36 pistons, 108mm bolt spacing, and 7.1 mm rotors.  That sure sounds like a GP4.

My bike came with 5mm rotors, and I've moved to 6mm - but I'd never fit 7mm rotors.

Interesting, indeed base M4 is not 32/36.

Ed from AF1 responded to my email and said that number 15 is year of casting.  Not bore.

He thinks the bore is 17mm


Bore spec is stamped under the reservoir bracket.  Here is a pic.  15mm

That being the case, perhaps I will go with a 14mm:

That number is a production batch code not a bore size.  For instance on my 19, its marked with "22".

Brembo would spec a 19 for a dual caliper 34mm piston setup, and a 17 m/c for a dual 30. 

Brembo would say that a 14 is for a single caliper setup and will pull to the handlebar before stopping a dual caliper bike.

Yep, corrected the above.  Ed from AF1 said it is year of casting (the 15) and thinks the bore is a 17mm

I think you want to measure your pistons.  If you have OEM  Energica calipers, I'd expect you have 34mm pistons.
