DSRX Handlebar Alignment
« on: February 16, 2025, 05:10:24 PM »

Hi!

I think my new DSRX handlebar is slightlty misaligned to the right. (When the front wheel is straight the handlebar is slightly rotated clockwise).
Do you know how to fix this?
Is something easy I can do at home?

Thanks!
Regards,
Luis.

Unless the forks are bent this should be fixable by loosening them in the triple clamps (with no weight on them). Then tighten them again.
Search for "align forks" on YouTube for better instructions.

Thanks for your answer.

I have watched tons of videos but it is hard to find the simplest procedure :D

Do I have to loose all 6 screws? (1 on top, 2 on the middle for each fork). The 4 ones on the middle/bottom are hard to access without removing the fairing.

I have read that sometimes loosening the two top could be enough. Loose, move the wheel against a wall then tighten again.

I have never done this, so please go easy on me :D (the dealer is 400km away)

Thanks!

Ari explains it nicely here.

Dave Moss here.

Two of YouTubes heavyweights in maintenance and suspension.  :)

In theory you only have to loosen the top. Let the forks self-align. Torque to spec, being careful not to twist them again. I keep everything loose and tighten in small increments. Checking for alignment each time.
If you're still unsure, your best bet might be to find a nearby motorcycle owner who does his/her own wrenching.
Any dealer can fix this. It doesn't have to be Zero dealer.

This problem is not something that is unique to this bike, it's a general thing that ANY dealer should be able to fix.
Like changing the oil on your car, or rotating / changing a tire, ANY dealer should be able to do that.

You should be able to go to any dealer to fix this I'd think if you didn't feel comfy doing it yourself.

Thanks all for your replies. I will try loosening only the top ones, and if it does not work, I will bring the bike to some bike dealer.

Best Regards, Luis.
