Hello. Zero SR/S, SR/F premium with additional power tank installed. A voltage imbalance occurred (from long storage) between the additional battery and the main battery. How to disconnect additional power tank and run only on main battery ? Is need some BLANKING PLUG. Or somehow different. Thanks in advance for helping.

The same thing happened recently with my 2018 Zero S with Power Tank after a month-long storage. My dash was showing a fault code to that effect. I was able to resolve the problem by leaving the OBC plugged in with an SOC of 100% for a few hours until I was seeing a stable 4.2 watts on my Kill-A-Watt meter. Once all of the battery packs were balanced, the fault code went away.

Richard, Does your kil a watt meter show about 2 watts with nothing plugged in?   Mine is at 2.3 watts now, I charged a leaf blower (snow this time) and it is at .17 kwh up from .14 from when I unplugged the charger yesterday.   Mine does but the similar device I got for 240 volts with the european plug and socket does not.

No. My Kill-A-Watt meter does not show any draw at the wall when plugged in with nothing attached. Of course, it does show voltage when plugged in. I have tried it on relatively low draw devices, like motorcycle battery maintainers, and it seems to work properly with things that draw something like just a few watts. It could be that your meter has a defect of some sort. Or maybe those things just are built to a price and a couple of watts here or there might not be too much of a concern to the manufacturer.

When my dealer installed the Power Tank on my 2014 S (now owned by my daughter) they gave me the blanking plug that was apparently on the stock bike's wiring when it left the factory. Perhaps the bikes are still being manufactured with the plug in the wiring system. If that is no longer the case, you could ask your dealer if they have one that they would like to get rid of. Or perhaps AF1 Racing sells them. You could check their site to see if it is shown on their spare parts catalog.
