Hi there good people.

I am a very tall rider (200 cm). 100% city commuter, not long distances per day.
Looking at the fx or Fxs. Fx is slightly taller so seems like the better choice. But I would need/want road tires. Do you guys know if it’s possible to put a 140 or 15 wide tires on the Fx g (I prefer the aesthetics of slightly wider than stock tires)? Are there road tires that would be recommended for the fx? Are there side cases that would be good for the fx range? Where would one look for to buy a lower/ longer foot rest?
I test rode the Dsr and fx. Dsr is too much for my needs, and was too heavy.
Didn’t try the fxs.
Anything else I should consider?
Would love some assistance with my first e-bike.

The FXS (or later FXE) is a better choice if you're just using it on the road. It's pretty much an FX for the road - with road wheels and better brakes.

The FX has more ground clearance with longer fork travel and I think it's got a 19 inch front wheel like the DS line.  As far as seat height to foot peg I'd say they are about the same.

I assume you're in EU since you used cm so I'll put out another option that I wouldn't normally but look at the BMW CE 04 electric scooter.
A bit less power than the XFE but it's 100% city commuter and has front foot boards to stretch out your legs. Do a Youtube search and see some reviews to see what ya think.

The difference in seat height is 45mm, less when you're sat on the bike as I assume the FX will be running a bit more sag. Rear suspension travel is the same but the FX has a longer fork, and an 18" wheel in the rear. That combined with the 21" wheel up front (the DS is 17 and 19) means you won't have all that many options for decent road tyres.

I'm 188 cm, have been on my FX for 6 years and totally love it. It's a good fit. But only a test drive can confirm it's OK for you giant.

If fat tires are the priority, then FXS is the way to go, but the 21 inch fronts make for extra clearance and hooligan fun.

The Givi E340 top case is awesome. I rode around with soft sidebags for a while, the kind that drape across the passenger seat, which worked fine, but I never really used them.
