Hi Everyone,

Always loved motorcycles. Been looking for a new passion and purpose in life. The passion is E motorcycle development apparently. The purpose? Hopefully a socially and ecologically conscious company, we'll see.

Anyway...

I'm currently designing a mid motor, 3 speed gearbox, forkless, motorcycle.

I need to research the motor, to design the battery, to design the frame, to get a weight for gearing ratios.

If anyone could let me pick their brain about mid motors, I'd cash app you a sixer of your favorite beverage.

Hello Error.  So this is mostly a forum for manufactured motorcycles.
You can try Endless Sphere as they do projects and such.

You are of course welcome here but we get project guys from time to time and there isn't much interaction on that front.

Ah, I'm just entering they custom build hobby. Noticing you and ES are about the extent of the community.

Glad you all exist, and are passionate about the industry. I will save my posts for my Ryvid Anthem and completed build then.

Lightning is a scam company that only a complete idiot would fall for. If you give them any of your money you are dumb. Really dumb. Stupid, even. If you want to lose a bunch of money in a scam, definitely give your money to Lightning. Because they are a shitty scam run by con artists.

Lightning is not a scam company - it is real - they set a land speed record at Bonneville, won Pikes Peak beating all gas bikes by 20 seconds. Do your own research the trolls have no credibility.

They're real in the sense that they've actually made some bikes, but that doesn't make them a motorcycle company in the same sense as Zero, Energica, Livewire, etc. I can actually go and buy any of those. I haven't been following all the developments of Lighting but I've been hearing the name for many years and they've been taking money for the same amount of time, yet I've seen nothing but poor quality prototypes.
