I used to work in a motorcycle dealership and I saw the kinds of margins we had to deal with... but the customers would NEVER believe us and swore we could "do better with the price."  Like as if keeping a roof over my head and food on the table was less important than they getting a good deal...

Anybody that thinks they can get rich running a motorcycle dealership in the US has another "think" coming!

I still recall the Zero dealership in Daly City where i bought my 2012 and 2014 Zeros. The owner was under so much stress dealing with Yamaha franchise contract requirements and their lawyers that she just gave up after around 20 years, folded the business and sold the property to a Dollar Store, which is likely doing a lot better at that location than she was.
