I feel the main questions were not answered.  More of a story to hype the new bike which gets called in the supermoto class.  I have no idea how style concious folks that buy them are.

Why have you or Zero more specifically not joined Honda, Yamaha, Ktm, and Piaggo in creating a standard or standards, even if it is just for one model?

Is Zero committed to the voltage they currently use hence no Dc fast charging.  Or at least publicly available dc charging.

Do you have anything on the drawing board that is not direct drive motor to rear sprocket no reduction or power moving gears and shafts?  It appears the race bike in the picture has the motor lower and the reduction/power moving parts have the sprocket higher.

I suppose you could look at it that way.  Not asked in the portion of any interview that made it into the article.  Which was to a large degree an ask and answer format.  It is titled deep dive into.....

The Lightfighter racer guy who posts on this fourm is whom the article seems to be mostly about, perhaps he can answer my curiosity.

Yeah it was just an interview with Brian talking about his background and what his part was in the development of the FXE.
This isn't a hard hitting gottcha kind of interview.

As for telling what Zero has in store in the next few years I can tell you he can't say.  Companies release info on their schedule not when someone asks a question.

New things are happening all the time just wait and see.

Thanks for checking out the article!  Yeah... I don't get to pick the questions or the title.  It was fun to chat with Mark Gardiner, who's one of the few journalists that's actually raced at the Isle of Man TT (and written a book about the experience).  After not seeing each other for over a decade, Mark was in town for the FXE launch, so this interview flowed naturally from some of the discussion around that model, which is why it features so prominently in the article.  Cool that they threw me a bone to reference my race bike as well. 

I can't specifically discuss what our incredibly talented team at Zero is working on for what I hope are obvious reasons.  I CAN tell you that we are a group of enthusiasts that are as committed to (and at times conflicted over) the future direction of electric motorcycles as those that participate in this forum.
