A mass-less battery design?

Mass-less? Well, I am not so sure about that, but here we have another interesting battery concept that still has a long way to go before it hits the consumer market, if ever:

EV Battery vaporware is at such an extreme I refuse to even look at any of it anymore.  It has no end.

It's just taking advantage of the fact that batteries can be made out of lots of things, and they can contribute to structure.  So you end up with some amount of watthours while replacing some of the structure.

Think also like Tesla's structural battery pack.  Using the cans and jelly rolls as contribution to structure, instead of just packed as cargo.  This is just a more extreme version of that.

True. But not what I would call "mass-less".  ::)  If anyone happens to develop a mass-less and inertness vehicle, let me know. now that would make for an interesting YouTube video.  ;)

The title of the clip seems to be more of a "hook" to attract viewers. I think the title could have been better described.

There are so many disadvantages to trying to make the entire structure of a vehicle into a battery I don't even know where to begin. Apart from the obvious connectivity issue - exactly how do you make a reliable circuit out of all the separate pieces - have they not considered the effects of even minor impacts on the structure? Instant write-off.

The battery pack is best left as a separate, replaceable unit, contained within a load-bearing chassis, like how Tesla (and I think BMW?) are doing it, but unlike Zero/Harley/Energica, who are still putting a heavy battery case inside a frame. Next gen motorcycles should be looking at making the battery case be the actual frame, in the same way that ICE bikes now use the engine as the main structural component of the chassis. The Panigale is almost just an engine with bits bolted to it. By my estimations the current Zero SR/F could incorporate a 21KWh battery pack in the same volume and weight as the current design if the battery casing was fully load bearing with the headstock, subframe, and swingarm mounted directly to it. Not of course especially easy to do - the battery would likely need to be  angled - but there might be scope for a BMW-style Telelever front end if not, and Telelever is what makes GSes so amazing to ride.

That is certainly the more efficient way of installing a battery in a motorcycle chassis, but personally I am willing to give up some efficiency and light weight in order to have an easily removable and up-gradable battery pack. Right now it seems as if you have to head for the city-scooter market to find that sort of design, which is understandable as the current market is demanding more performance, longer range and lighter weight that you can likely only get with an integrated battery pack which you are pretty much stuck with for the life of your vehicle.

More like an ICE gas tank that can be replaced. Neither an engine or a motor are easily replaceable, nor do they need to be.
