Finally some news from Honda. One "urban" electric motorcycle, a couple of scooters and one "fun" model. Nothing sounds too exciting though. And you may have to wait a few years to buy one:  https://electrek.co/2021/04/26/honda-announces-four-electric-motorcycles-to-debut-in-next-few-years/

If it an ACTUAL CBR125R ICE equivalent , and anywhere near the same price I would buy it. Immediately.
Note: That means capable of over 100kph. The stock motored CBR125R ICE bike most definitely can do that and all day. I used to race one in commuterlite ( completely stock motor rules) , so I know it can. So could the Yammy YZR125R ( 4stroke single in Australia) which I also raced.

Exceeding 100kph isn't that much of a problem -- if you're willing to wait long enough, virtually every motorcycle with 14HP will be able to do it (and all these will have such a motor motor, to comply with the EU A1 licensing category).
Question is, what range will it have at that speed...

Well, drawing 11kW to do 100kph, it'll flatten an 11kW hour battery in one hour, and manage... 100km.
Oddly enough about what my Zero does, pro-rata.

With a piddly 5kWH battery such as seems to be found in all these little e-bikes,  you'll get less than half of that. Just enough to conk out as you arrive at work

These news, while nice, don't show much ambition.
I'm still waiting for the Goldilocks electric bike. With high enough speed >100 km/h, long enough real world range >100 km, and low enough price <8000 (as new), to be compatible with the ICE bikes. At the moment, here in NL, 6-8 year old Zeros are dropping down close to that price, but how much is left of the battery life is a mystery. I'm not rich enough to gamble that amount of money on a bike I might not be able to use.
Next week I'm going looking at Honda Innova 125 for a daily rider.

The Evoke Urban S / Urban Classic models claim to be able to do that (19 kW peak / 11Kw continuous motor, 8.7kWh battery, 130 km/h top speed, 120km highway range).

 I haven't been able to determine where they're actually sold, or how many are being sold -- writing the company elicited the response that "they're being sold", but I've yet to see an actual review in the US or Europe. MSRP is supposedly US$8000 in the US (pre-sales tax & incentives), so should be ~€8000 in Europe with 20% VAT.

Are they sold in NL, and if so, for how much?
