I look at racing, or just riding the bike period, like fishing.
ANY day out on the water beats a day in the office.

Now if I could figure out a way to pull my skiff with my bike i'd be in heaven :D

Glad to see you are back out and on the tracks there, and please keep the rubber side DOWN this time a round !!

Heck yeah!

edit- I know they're entirely different machines but I'd love to see a weekend with Kenyon and his SR/F and Troy on the Lightfighter at the same track.

Still need to finish my post from Laguna a few weekends ago.  We now have the lap record for an electric motorcycle at Laguna Seca, Buttonwillow Raceway, Thunderhill Raceway, and Barber Motorsports Park!  8)

Is this gonna be one of those Richard Bannister 4 minute mile things? Like the original record was held for so long until it took one person to break it, and then a flood of increasingly fast people set more and more records. I'm here for it. Congratulations on a well-deserved record!

Great job!
I was all set to go to the Ahrma barberfest this year and have a blast... then the mail came in.
I got jury duty on the week of the event.  Tried to get out of it but nope, already had one excusal when I broke my foot so they won't let me wiggle out again.

Oh well,  maybe next year.

Holy cow day 2! Brian serious congratulations what a strong performance. Keep it up!

edit- there were youtube comments whining about how having an electric motorcycle against the gas is unfair. MotoAmerica deleted the comments but imagine being such a fragile person

I'm not really a fan of Josh Herrin, but there's no denying his talent when all of his marbles are rolling together...

how is an e bike unfair?   so typical.  the have nots, look for any cuck little bitch excuse they can to dq anyone they know they dont have the skill to compete against.  i hear the same crap at the track too, they know absolutely nothing about the bike, the tech, just see something different, a competent rider then go, oh unfair.

just wait, theyll try the fire hazard line next.  pointing back to the energica incident with the charger (ieNOT  the bike) from years ago.   if anything the e bike is a detriment due to constant decreasing hp to do the job when its needed most at the very end.  i mean you can play that ignorance from both ends.

they only cry about something they see as a threat to them, so take that as a huge compliment to your abilities!!  keep it up.  give him a tampon and a crying towel.

I presume the bike has been approved for the season.  Every other entrant has a brand that I am familiar with.  These don't say Zero or Energtica.  It is lf1 or something along those lines in the results I saw.  Supposed to be production based.  There may be a reason, but it would not seem unreasonabnle for some grumbling.  It generally is the protests start when the winning starts.  Years ago, I welded up and then machined the insides of Yamaha Rd 400 heads to replicate dg aftermarket heads to quiet the complaints in amateur hillclimb.
