I measured it and the have exactly 3.50v. Drop a little bit when I key On but after it stabilise right.I assume you mean 13.5 VDC . . . .
I have no choice but to go see my dealer.
Does the DC2DC maintain the 12V battery? Because it is well chargeYes, but it could be a connection problem after the 12V battery which should measure around 13.5 VDC when the key is on, if it is like my 2023 DSR/X which uses a Lifepo4 battery.
Hi folks,Maybe not so weird. Isn't error 26 mean low voltage from the DC2DCC? That voltage being low can screw up all types of things and cause more errors.
Yesterday, I got this error on my bike’s dash while riding: Controller fault (error 9) three times in two days.
The bike suddenly stopped running.I turned the key off and back on, and the bike started working again.
I checked the log and saw Controller Fault 1. Does anyone know what Fault 1 means?
I also frequently see this message in the log: Controller warning 26. Weird.

To be fair, Zero has pretty much delivered every new model I can remember them announcing at the promised time...There is an exception to every rule. Zero has been the big exception--perhaps the only exception.

Do you mean in general, or specifically from Verge? They don't have one, never did, probably never will. If you didn't know (that long video explains it all) they're the parent company of Donut Labs, it was a spin off in an attempt to save the dying brand (and I guess it's worked for now with all the funding they've got) however Donut only actually makes motors. The batteries were supposed to be coming from Nordic Nano using technology developed by CT Coatings. However this supposed miracle battery never materialised (no surprise there), but Donut decided to continue the lie. The main guy running the show is a con man, I can only assume his intention is to keep it going and get as much money as he can and then do a runner.Sound like both, Verge as well as the SSB is all BS. They cannot put a type of battery in the Verge that doesn't exist!
It's not solid state, it's just a regular old lithium battery. It's a plain old scam, I don't think it meets any of the claims they made.Thanks, I will forward this thread to a buddy of mine who has a Verge on order.
Not even close. It's just a high end lithium battery, he gives some examples of others in the video that perform as well or better.Isn't the main advantage of the SSB just that it is safter than the others, just less likely to blow up?
Good to hear it's working. Intermittent problems are the worst! Make sure your towing insurance is paid up, ha ha!I think it all had to do something with the bike sitting a bit too long, such as the battery getting out of balance causing the BMU to stop the charge. Perhaps right on the edge. After around 20 charge attempts, it started to charge fine. IOW, I don't think the fix was anything else that I did.
Maybe it's a little too late but here is a trouble shooting suggestion. The unofficial Zero manual has a description for building an adapter to read information through the OBD port. It's for Gen 2 bikes but works on Gen 3 also. I think I had to switch the TX and RX wires and use a different Baud rate but after some messing around I got it to work on a laptop. When you key on the bike you can see all the start commands as it is happening. You can see all the commands just like you see in the logs, the same when you plug into charge. Pretty useful for trouble shooting. If you type in "help", you bring up a menu of all the info you can get. It's fun even if you don't need it. There are posts about it from a long time ago. Here is an example. This is "BMS interface" screen. You can see things like charge targets, lowest cell voltage, how many amps the headlights are drawing, pack capacity.Thanks, that could be handy.

The EEPROM read fails are probably an issue.Perhaps because of the "BMU ineligible" error. But neither error tells me why it happened.

January 1st 1970 is when Unix time started, which is basically the zero point from where all computers count from to know what the time is. It's why in many calendar apps you can't scroll back before then, because to the computer that time doesn't exist. Being the first entry in the logs it can be assumed it writes that before it does the count to figure out the actual date and time.Thanks for the info. I assume that means it is expected and normal to start with a date of 1970. So then for me to see the real date, I need to look at the date where it first changes.
