« on: January 11, 2026, 11:37:48 PM »The thing with the default ignition is it also doubles as your steering lock, so presumably you're getting rid of that too, If you haven't already you're going to want some decent disc locks front and rear otherwise you're bike is easily walked off with using just a skateboard (if you only lock one wheel). You'll also want to check the terms of your insurance, mine for example requires at least two forms of lock (so steering lock and disc lock) and is invalid if I happen to leave the key in the ignition, I'd imagine they wouldn't be happy with a push button one just in case someone didn't figure out where it was located.
Good point on the steering lock. Right now I'm just going to replace with the oem ignition since they have it in stock at the local Zero Dealer, and that will get me back on the road sooner. I do remember seeing a video on youtube with someone installing a keyless on a SR/S. Can't seem to find it now but that might be good as a secondary anti-theft.
