Title: Early spec for electric GT auto racing. 700kw charging anyone?
Post by: NEW2elec on April 23, 2021, 02:39:20 AM
Transport Evolved short on the new series.  The cars look good and it's interesting and valuable to production that they let each team build the battery pack as they want it with a 87kWh limit.
But 700kw charging.  Now we're getting somewhere.

700 kW charging is pretty huge but what piqued my interest was that they're capable of regenerative braking 700 kW as well. That regen power seems pretty nuts!

My model 3 can charge at a v3 supercharger at 250kW yet it's max stopping power is 76kW. I bet the inverter has to be super beefed up to do this.
