Hello everyone. New DSR owner here. Been lurking on here mostly and learning a lot. So much great information. I currently have 1400 miles on the 2017 in the last three weeks and brought the bike in for the 600 mile check. The big thing I wanted done was the timing and commissioning. That was done, a firmware update on the controller was done and the normal checks.
Since I had the bike I never got any notice of any firmware updates on the app, even when I would have the app check. I updated the app last night and they added features for 2018 models and made it so it alerts you when theres and update. So sure enough it did. And I was 4 updates behind on my Main board. I should be on Main Board firmware 20 and I am on 16. This update also can only be done at the dealer per what the app says. I was curious if anyone else had this message recently and if they knew when firmware 20 came out? Has anyone had to update there bikes from the app and what firmware had been updated? Im ok with bringing it to the dealer to have it done, but if the firmware was available a month ago and i just had the bike serviced on 9/27 why they didn't do the update.
Any insight on the process members have had would be great.
