Zero getting level 3 DC fast charging
« on: September 03, 2026, 04:10:51 AM »

If you are on the email list it's coming your way.

It will be on the 2027 bikes with 17kWh batteries but also a retro option for 2022 and newer bikes with that size batteries.

Also, if you have an earlier (pre-2022) Gen3 bike with the upgraded battery you can also take advantage. This is great news; it means I won't have to take a massive hit trading in my 2020 SR/F to buy a newer bike with CCS.

I have seen in a LinkedIn post someone saying they will use a DC -DC converter to adapt to the battery voltage. I wonder how different it is from using the board chargers 🤔

Maybe they will leverage the controller and motor as inductors an buck converters 🧐

The OBC is an AC input only charger.  That is a major difference between a DC2DCC.

Hopefully they will use NAC3400 so it will be future proof.

AFAIK, there is not an electric motorcycle made today that is compatible with that Tesla SC to CCS adapter.

Besides that, even where the vehicle (car)  is compatible, it will not work with the older Tesla Superchargers that are less than 250 KWs.
