Hi!

Today I forgot to switch off the zero dsrx while charging. It was limited to 75% but 3 hours later I went to the garage and noticed the fan was on. I switched the bike off and everything was ok (75% SoC) but I am worried because it is very hot these days.

Any problem or just some heat on the components?

That should not harm it at all.
If the bike was so delicate, that leaving it on during charging would damage it, they'd have put an interlock of some sort in it Id imagine, because this is such a simple thing to overlook.  Besides, sitting at idle it's not drawing a ton of power so not really adding a huge heat load.  Id not worry about it.  That extra amp it might pull to run the bikes electronics, it'll just take it a little longer to get to full charge is all that most likely will happen.  You have an extra 3 minutes and 28 seconds to drink a beer

That should not cause a problem at all.  Charging while the bike is on should not ever be a problem.


Expect the fan to come on when it is hot while charging, regardless if the bike is on or off. If hot, the fan will stay on longer even after the charge is done, bike on or off. Fan is temp activated.

FWIW, my charger, especially on warmer days, can get too hot to touch actually.  A little heat won't harm them, they have fans on them which will activate if they need additional cooling.  Although i have not tested this, and don't want to, i bet the charging unit has some sort of thermal overload that if something did just get too hot it'd switch off.
